Fine Champagne and sparkling wines tasting class across Champagne, Italy and Spain
Did you know that the biggest bottle of champagne contains up to 40 liters of champagne? Champagne was used since the Middle Ages for the coronation ceremonies of the Kings of France and is still used traditionally for all kinds of ceremonies. After a historical introduction and the method to taste a sparkling wine, discover two champagnes, one dominated by pinot noir and the other with chardonnay.
While tasting the champagnes, you will discover the method to elaborate it and the characteristics of the French Champagne terroir. The course will be followed by 2 other sparkling wines of the world similar to champagne : a sparkling wine from a mysterious and atypical country, and a Cava, sparkling wine from Spain.
Other methods of making sparkling wines exist, so you will discover by tasting a Prosecco and a Moscato d'Asti, as well as the particularities of these soils.
